Shalini Shah
Shalini Shah is the winner of a National Film Award for the Best Historical Reconstruction/Compilation Film; the citation for her film, 'From the land of Buddhism to the Land of Buddha' says, "For its realistic and pictorial depiction of the culture, traditions and socioeconomic conditions of the Tibetans settled in India'.
She has assisted Saeed Akhtar Mirza on his National Award winning film Naseem; worked in two Films Divisions films as an associate director; and written extensively for TV serials, including 33 episodes of Itihaas with Vinod Ranganathan, and a few episodes of Kabhie Kabhie.
She has served on the House of Illusions jury for the Indian Film Festival of Cincinnati, the grand jury of the Chalachitram National Film Festival, the Panorama section of the International Film Festival of India (IFFI), and the 49th National Film Festival of India. She's a former film faculty member at Kumaun University, the artistic-director/founder of the Kautik International Film Festival, and an advisory board member of the Chicago International Indie Film Festival.
