Iris Svis
Iris Svis is an international film/television actress, producer, and model. Born in Russia, her parents introduced her to the world of art through dance and music education, and at the age of fourteen, Iris began a successful modeling career that took her around the world and exposed her to the diversity and richness of many beautiful cultures. Through her travels, she fell in love with the art of storytelling and soon realized that developing her craft was essential to creating unique narratives that portray the universal thread shared by all cultures.
Most recently, Iris worked on a Steven Soderbergh feature THE LAUNDROMAT starring Meryl Streep, Gary Oldman, and Antonio Banderas, and APE VS. MECHA APE starring Tom Arnold. This experience only served to quicken the fire in her heart for greatness. Iris also had a chance to collaborate with such talented people as the award-winning cinematographer Phedon Papamichael, James Brolin, and Frances Fisher on the film A BEAUTIFUL DAY.
Iris is also a producer of short films, web series, and theatrical performances, with a few features in development. Her short film, THE SHOWDOWN, which she also co-wrote and starred in, has won awards at five film festivals, including "Best Action Thriller" at the Teknochat Fim Festival in Barcelona. She is currently working as a producer on her first feature film, A SENSE OF DREAD. By constantly challenging herself to create through collaboration, Iris believes in making art that will make a difference in the world.
