Paul Michael Ayre
Paul Michael Ayre is a writer and actor born in Maidstone, Kent and raised in Sydney Australia. Paul has written for national networks in Australia, including the successful pilot for Channel 10's Drunk History, Foxtel's Thrones 360 and Thrones 360 Live and for European production company Rockzeline (the award winning series The Pet Killer). Paul has acted in numerous Australian TV shows including ABC's Soul Mates, Wham Bam Thankyou Ma'am and Legally Brown and most recently in the resulting commissioned series of Drunk History. He has written three plays "In The Air Tonight" (a Phil Collins based dramedy), "The Diva and the Fool" and "Grave Intentions". He has a production company SevereComedy that has produced sketches for Sydney's TedX event at the Sydney Opera House and a Pokemon Go parody with SketchShe that was viewed over 36 million times. Paul did his technical training at The Howard Fine School for acting in Melbourne and has worked with Larry Moss, Elizabeth Kemp, Carol Rosenfeld and Jean-Louis Rodriguez. Paul was also trained in Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence at UNSW from 2001 - 2009. He's performed in the Melbourne International Comedy Festival for 5 years, once with a solo show "The Unenduring Depths of Your Soul: To The Tune Of Michael Bolton". He was a national finalist in Triple J's Raw Comedy Stand up Competition in 2006 alongside Hannah Gadsby and Celia Pacquola. He has toured extensively through Europe as part of The Umbilical Brothers show "The Rehearsal" including Slovenia, Austria, German, Sweden, Denmark, Holland and Germany. He produced, wrote and performed in The Justice Lease - winner of Viewster.com's $70,000 first prize for best web series. His first lead in a series was in ABC's BedHead (2015). In theatre, Paul has performed in The Shape of Things, Cabaret, The Little Shop of Horrors and Sexual Perversity in Chicago.
