Pippa Hughes
Phillipa Elizabeth Margaret Hughes (Pippa) was born June 15th 1994 in Ludlow, England. She grew up in the Shropshire countryside with two younger sisters, her father a trailer manufacturer and her mother a housewife/teacher.
Pippa's creativity was first discovered by St. Laurences Primary School headmaster, Kevin Bryant, who encouraged her to perform in school plays as well as to choreograph and perform dance routines with her friends in the school's dance competitions. She remains to be the only pupil to have ever also sang in the competition, winning 1st prize. Kevin Bryant continued to support Pippa's creative development and encouraged her to play both the flute and piano. By the age of ten she had entered a singing competition at the Ludlow Assembly Rooms and became the youngest competitor in the area for 'The Dream Kids Tribute Band'. She also attended many workshops here, including ones on film make-up. Alongside all of this she was also a keen flautist in Tenbury Town Band. Pippa attended Hereford Cathedral School for her secondary education and took part in many of the opportunities on offer including; rowing, Duke of Edinburgh, CCF and continued flute and piano lessons. It is rumored she had hidden under her mother's chair at her first ballet lesson when she was 3 years old, yet 11 years later in 2008 she re-joined Insteps Dance Academy in Ludlow. Taught by Leianne Jukes, Pippa was pushed within all styles of dance, overcoming challenges such as operations on her feet and severe scoliosis. Despite this, and a crumbling home life, she is said to have found sanctuary at the studios and worked on reception to pay for her classes.
In 2012 Pippa missed the deadlines for applications to train in performing arts, yet in a rare strike of luck received the offer of an 'extra audition' on her 18th birthday at London Studio Centre. They offered her a place directly onto a degree course which settled her fate and she moved to London. At London Studio Centre Pippa suffered with severe tendinitis in her second year, it was during this time she began to work within the industry due to rumored financial struggles during her training. With the support from Flawless Model Agency and Amplitude Media, Pippa walked in London Fashion Week in September 2014 for two designers; Fleur Kelinza and Leonora Assomanin. She then went on to Model for Pierre Garroudi handbags, and also became the face of the British Army's anti-bullying campaign. Alongside this and on the recovery of her tendinitis she began working for Videoke London as one of their official dancers, and was also cast as lead female in New World Anarchy (2015) by Kai. Other projects Pippa worked on in London included; Jessie J's Boom Bus Tour (2015), Made in Chelsea (series 10), Lee Cooper jeans commercial (2016), The Foreigner (2017), Goodbye Christopher Robin (2017) and Will (2017). In-between these projects, after her graduation, Pippa was approached to work in Mumbai, India, within the Bollywood Industry and from April 2016 she was travelling between cities for work.
