Gabe Ibáñez
Gabe Ibáñez was born in 1971. He obtained a B.A. in Image Sciences from the Complutense University (Madrid) where he founded Extipo, a pioneer association specialized on the study and development of computer generated image. In 1992, he joined the field of digital post production, where he worked as 3D artist and visual effects supervisor in film and advertising for 8 years. Since 2000, he has worked as commercial director, and in 2001, he founded UserT38, a company dedicated to digital preproduction and post production. In 2006, he directed his first short film Máquina -that was awarded Clermont Ferrand's Special Jury Award in 2007. In 2008 he directed his first feature film, Hierro, released in the International Critic's Week at the Cannes Film Festival 2009. Currently, he is developing his next feature film Autómata, a science fiction movie starring Antonio Banderas.
