Alejandro De Hoyos
Actor and producer Alejandro De Hoyos was born in Ensenada, Baja California, Mexico.
De Hoyos moved with his family to Acapulco, Mexico, where he went to high school and worked at some of the most popular discos. By the age of 22, he was hired to manage Magic Circus, the largest private night club in Mexico City.
He produced many live and televised Kickboxing competitions, including a heavyweight world title. He also booked a variety of popular performers of the 1980's, including Disco sensation Sylvester, José José, Lupita D'Alessio and Alberto Cortez.
De Hoyos has been a businessman since he was very young, but his passion has always been acting and everything related to film. When he turned thirty, he decided to study and pursue an acting career, while continuing to build his companies.
Television credits include: The Bold and the Beautiful (1998-2003), Air America (1999), General Hospital (2003), Sin Vergüenza (2017), Ylse (2008-2010), and I Think You Should Leave (2021) among others.
Film credits include: Clear and Present Danger (1994), GB:2525 (2009), El Contratista (2018), Free Dead of Alive (2021), The Man from Toronto (2022) and Trigger Warning (2022).
De Hoyos has booked over 200 commercials including starring in the award-winning commercial for Northwestern Mutual directed by Mexican cinematographer Emmanuel Lubezki also known as Chivo.
In 2016 De Hoyos created Alta California Pictures to produce its first film, El Contratista.
