Jesseal Amelia produced her first TV web series pilot, "Sequins" which she also stars as the quirky sister, Noreen. "Sequins" received recognition at the Los Angeles Philippine International Film Festival and received the Laurel of Excellence Award from the TBAE Film Showcase. Recently, she completed 3 episodes of a comedic web series called "Happy Hour," which she also co-wrote and produced. A native of Kansas City, MO, Jesseal is a multi-hyphenate; actor, writer, and producer. She received her BA degree in Film and Theatre from Columbia College Chicago. Upon graduation, she was accepted into Columbia College's prestigious "Semester in Los Angeles" producing program where she worked hand-in-hand with industry professionals and transitioned her way to the west. In addition to her film work, Jesseal is a classically trained stage actress and continues her training specifically with Shakespeare at Independent Shakespeare Co. in Los Angeles. She's done onstage work as Phoebe in "As You Like It," Ophelia in "Hamlet," and Beatrice in "Much Ado About Nothing." At the age of 5, she began her classical training in piano and continues to expand her musical artistry with the violin as well as singing. She also continues to immerse herself with other various disciplines such as improv and becoming a polyglot. Jesseal's love for languages has inspired her to work on producing projects that showcase stories from different cultures. In her ongoing endeavor to create content that promotes diversity, inclusion, and a platform for BIPOC artists, she co-founded New Narrative Productions in 2019.
