Cara AnnMarie
Cara AnnMarie is an actor, singer, & entrepreneur, most recently known for her recurring roles in the popular Netflix Original - Cobra Kai and Comedy Central's - Detroiters.
She was born in San Diego, California, but grew up in Chelsea, Michigan - home to Jeff Daniel's Purple Rose Theater. With a strong arts education, Cara landed her first leading role, playing Lady Macbeth in her 4th Grade Class. Throughout High School, Cara was involved in Choir, Show Choir, Debate, and studied Voice privately. She went on to attend The University of Michigan in Ann Arbor and graduated with a Theatre & Voice (Opera) degree. She booked her first professional Musical Theatre roles while still in college - Playing Dorothy in The Wizard of Oz at The Marque Children's Theater and Margie in State Fair at The Circa '21 Dinner Theater in Illinois. After graduation, Cara briefly moved to Chicago where she responded to an audition in Backstage and left on a Tour two weeks after moving. She then made NYC her home base but came and went often doing Regional Theater, Cruise Line Broadway Shows, and Tours both within the U.S. & Internationally.
Some of her favorite roles include Christine in Phantom, Cinderella in Cinderella, and Beth in Little Women. After singing and dancing her way around the country she wanted to unpack her bags for a bit. So she decided to start auditioning for television and film. She then landed numerous commercials & print ads (including two National Commercials - Pay Anywhere & Trusted Choice Insurance). And the independent films Dead Quiet, Liberty's Secret (2016), Moontrap: Target Earth (2017), and most recently Where's Rose with Ty Simpkins.
Cara has been very fortunate to work on some amazing TV and streaming shows such as Detroiters with Sam Richardson, Tim Robinson & Jason Sudeikis - Ozark directed by Jason Bateman and opposite Laura Linney (the scene was sadly cut from Season One), Cobra Kai with Ralph Macchio and William Zabka and will be playing a costar role in an upcoming Marvel series.
In tandem with her acting career, Cara is passionate about Animal Welfare and Rescue and started a successful Eco-Friendly Pet company - Doggy Do Good - with her husband and rescue dog - Olive. She has recently expanded her family by one - having a son in October of 2020.
