Janek Ambros
Janek Ambros is a writer/producer/director and founder of Assembly Line Entertainment, a financing and production company formed in 2012 that has produced over a dozen films ranging from narrative films that have premiered at festivals such as Sundance and TIFF to documentaries and experimental films from around the globe.
His slate of films span all genres while covering topics such as the rise of fascism in the West, human rights, classicism, and American imperialism. Notable films as producer include "Human Capital" starring Liev Shrieber and Marisa Tomei and "Ten Thousand Saints" starring Ethan Hawke and Hailee Steinfeld. Notable films as a writer/director include "Le Quinze Mai à Paris" produced by Barbara De Fina (Goodfellas, Casino), "Imminent Threat", which tackles the War on Terror's impact on civil liberties and executive produced by Academy Award nominee James Cromwell, and the theatrically released psychedelic comedy he co-wrote and directed, "Mondo Hollywoodland," also executive produced by Cromwell. His most recent film, "Potyahy z Ukrayiny" is short documentary about an anonymous Ukrainian citizen telling her story about the Russian invasion. It was shot on the border of Poland and Ukraine and is executive produced by two time Academy Award winner Janusz Kaminski.
