Darny Chau
Darny Chau, also known as Darnie, was born in Arlington, Virginia on February 19, 1989. Her mother is of Cambodian descent, and her father is of Vietnamese and French descent. She grew up as an only child. Darny was a competitive figure skater, and was a twice Silver Medalist in the United States' Figure Skating Association's local competitions in Fairfax and Loudoun, Virginia. Darny trained in ballet and danced at Alvin Ailey in New York City, New York City Ballet, and the Washington School of Ballet in Washington, District of Columbia. Darny signed her first modeling contract at age 13 years old, and worked in the modeling industry since. Darny was a competitive cheerleader, a lead flyer in college, and professionally cheered with the National Football League, as a Cheerleader Ambassador for the Washington Redskins (2012-). Darny earned the Rookie of the Year award.
Darny graduated from Johnson & Wales University, in North Miami, Florida, with a degree in Criminal Justice, in the top tier of her class. During college, a live theatrical production, featuring Shakespeare's A Midsummer's Nights Dream, casted in North Miami, and Darny auditioned to be a background actress. Darny landed the lead role as Princess Hermia, in a three day live production, while managing her studies, cheerleading, modeling, volunteering in the circuit court, interning as a Probation Officer, and spearheading a charity to benefit St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. Darny was accepted into various Law Schools, and declined the offers, in order to begin her career in Washington, D.C. at a law firm, as well as cheerlead with the N.F.L. Upon completion of her undergraduate degree within two and a half years, she obtained her online Master's Degree in Business Administration, with a Health Services concentration. Darny went on to a career with a medical research and manufacturing company.
Darny moved to the island of Oahu, Hawaii in the summer of 2018, where she is a Security Officer, and a Paralegal. Darny signed with Premier Models and Talent shortly after, who suggested that she would enjoy and do well working in the entertainment industry, especially in films. Darny was pulled aside on her first day on set and featured in Magnum, P.I. (2018), and continues to be casted as a featured background in various television shows. Darny will also appear as a Business Pedestrian, in a major motion film, set to be released in 2020.
