Nicole Leroux
Canadian actress, Nicole Leroux, was raised on the West coast of Canada and was encouraged by her hard working parents to seek out a 'balanced life' and to understand that 'you always have a choice'. So, when Leroux was faced with a tough career choice: become a professional basketball player or pursue acting... at 5'4" her choice was obvious.
Leroux's training began at the prestigious Studio 58, and continued at UBC, graduating with a BA in Theatre and finished at BADA, in Oxford, England, studying Shakespeare and British Comedy alongside the Royal Shakespeare Company's finest: Sir Ben Kingsley, Lynn Farleigh, Jane Lapotaire and John Barton.
Leroux's film and Television credits include comedic roles in Catch and Release, Santa Clause 2, Box, and Good Times: Vol. 1. Her dramatic roles include Territories, Da Vinci's Inquest, The Core, Homewreckers, Daffodils and playing a Scottish underground rebel in Judgment: Apocalypse IV starring opposite Mr. T.
Leroux's received the Jessie Richardson Award for her work in Cloneage.PA, and her portrayal of Anna, a soldier suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder, garnered Leroux a Jessie Richardson Nomination for Outstanding Performance in a lead role in the play Omniscience.
And yes it does happen! Leroux's voice was literally 'discovered' while performing on stage. She's voiced numerous characters including Elise in Ubisoft's Assassins Creed III: Liberation and Ranpha Framnoise from the hit anime series Galaxy Angel.
