Silvia Gallerano
As per The Guardian, Silvia Gallerano is an 'extroardinary, sublime and devastating' actress. She is the internationally acclaimed actress of La Merda by Cristian Ceresoli, a role in which she performed in both Italian and English. Silvia garnered herself The Stage Award in 2012 for Best Solo Performer, The Fringe FIrst Award (2012), the Arches Brick Award (2012), the Premio della Critica (2012), Special Mention at Premio Scenario for Assola , and received a Total Theatre Award. Rai 2's Marco Giusti defined Silvia an 'absolute discovery for the cinema.' Gallerano has performed as Betta in Riccardo va all'Infero (dir. Roberta Torre), Asino Vola (dir. Tripodi and Fonte), Ride (dir. Valerio Mastandrea), and many more. She has worked with theatre directors such as Daria Lippi, Veronica Cruciani, Francesco Micheli and Oscar De Summa, and collaborated with writers ranging from John Berger to Suad Amiry and Assia Djebar. Silvia is also a member of the Équipe de Recherche sur l'Art de l'Acteur at FAA (Fabrique Auonome des Acteurs) in France.
