Sophie Jones is executive produced by Academy Award Nominee Nicole Holofcener. After playing at numerous festivals across the globe it was acquired by Oscilloscope Laboratories for a 2021 release. Roger Ebert calls her performance "impressively self-possessed....Barr nails the flickering, shifting, visceral emotions of adolescence." Variety says that Jessica is "compelling...captivating," calling the film "a fully realized portrait of grief that's universal in its texture."
