Maynard Bagang
Maynard Bagang is a Los Angeles local SAG-AFTRA actor. He was born on April 27 in Angeles City, Philippines. A Mechanical Engineering background from Holy Angel University, Philippines and Excelsior College in Albany, New York. He retired as a Police Detective in Las Vegas, Nevada and was awarded by the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department the Medal of Honor for rescuing a hostage while under fire at the Harrah's Casino robbery shooting. He also served and retired in the US Navy as a Nuclear and Mechanical Engineer where he was awarded five Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medals. Maynard had six major deployments to include Operation Iraqi Freedom, Operation Enduring Freedom, Global War on Terror, Haiti, Somalia, and North Korea. He was stationed aboard USS Constellation, USS Juneau, USS Conolly, SRF Yokosuka Japan, Puget Sound Naval Nuclear Facility, US Naval Weapons Station Earl NJ, and US Naval Maritime Expeditionary Security Squadron One. Maynard was awarded the Enlisted Surface Warfare Specialist pin while aboard the USS Juneau. He was certified as a Nuclear Technician by Counter-Terrorism Operations Support (CTOS) at the Nevada Nuclear Security Site (NNSS). Maynard also learned and trained Karate in Tokyo, Japan where he attained the rank of a 3rd degree Blackbelt under the Japan Karate Association. He was a former Western States Karate Champion and owns a martial arts school in Las Vegas where he teaches karate and firearms. He is a proud father of a son and a daughter.
