Anubhav Chopra
Anubhav Chopra is an Indian filmmaker based in Mumbai, India. He is best known for Netflix documentary series House Of Secrets: The Burari Deaths. Growing up in Jalandhar, Punjab, Anubhav was always fascinated with the world of films and the power of storytelling. He began his journey with filmmaking as a director's assistant to Farhan Akhtar in 2009. He worked on Don 2 and Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara, both produced by Excel Entertainment. He went on to work as the 1st AD on feature films such as The Sky Is Pink, Dil Bechara, Rajma Chawal, The Extraordinary Journey of the Fakir, Bhaag Milkha Bhaag (2nd Unit). Additionally, he has worked on over 250 ad films collaborating with the best in the business in India and internationally.
Anubhav's script Phurrr... was awarded the best script in 2018 MPA APSA Launch Your Script Contest. The same script was also in Top 5 scripts in 2019 Cinestaan Script Contest judged by a jury including Aamir Khan, Rajkumar Hirani, Anjum Rajabali and Juhi Chaturvedi. His series House Of Secrets: The Burari Deaths has won several awards including Filmfare for best non-fiction series.
Anubhav is currently leading the writers' room for an Indonesian show titled Dirty Laundry. He is writing and directing a young adult series for Roy Kapur Films, set in the pressure cooker environment of a modern day high-school. He is working on a slate of other fiction and non-fiction projects that are in various stages of development.
