Kenny Wong

Originally from Richmond, B.C., Kenny is a Montreal-based writer, actor, filmmaker, and violinist with a Bachelor of Music Performance degree from McGill University. His feature film script, 'Dystonia' (based on Kenny's true story of being a violinist diagnosed with Focal Hand Dystonia), was the recipient of the Telefilm New Voices Award from the Toronto Screenwriting Conference in 2017. Since then, it has been a finalist at the Golden Script Competition and the Oaxaca Script Competition, as well as being shortlisted for the National Screen Institute's 'Feature First Program'. In 2019, Kenny produced a concept short film of 'Dystonia' through grants from Jeunes Volontaires and TakingItGlobal. The film went on to premiere at the Toronto Shorts International Film Festival and win Best Drama Short at the Canadian Diversity Film Fest. Kenny was also the writer, co-producer, and star of 'The Battle Jar Chronicles', a comedy web series that exclusively screened at both Montreal and Ottawa Comiccons. In addition, his crime drama TV pilot script, 'Death Divided', was a Top-25 finalist at the WeScreenplay Television Competition. On screen, Kenny is entering his third season as a main cast member of CTV/NBC's 'Transplant'. Other acting credits include: 'Slaxx' (Shudder), 'The Handmaid's Tale' (Hulu), 'Pretty Hard Cases' (CBC), 'Frankie Drake Mysteries' (CBC), 'Titans' (DC/Netflix), 'Good Sam' (Netflix), 'The Bold Type' (Freeform), 'Killer High' (Syfy), 'Jack Ryan' (Amazon) and 'Lost Generation' (New Form).
