Helena Howard
Helena Howard, was born in New York, New York. Since the early age of three, she knew she wanted to pursue acting. She gained her love and appreciation for the craft through stage work, and studied teachings of the greats (Stanislavsky, Adler, Strasberg, Hagen, etc.), when not memorizing lines or studying for exams. She attended the Union County Academy for Performing Arts from the years 2012-2016. It was during that time that she would meet filmmaker and writer, Josephine Decker, and they would go on to workshop, collaborate (along with Pig Iron and a troupe of actors), and create what is now known as, 'Madeline's Madeline'. 2018 was the debut of 'Madelines Madeline'. It was also the debut/breakout year for Helena. With a national premier at Sundance, International at Berlinale; Madeline's Madeline and Helena went on to be recognized at the Gotham Awards that year, and the Independent Spirit Awards the following. She continues to do what she loves to do, with immense fervor, and is grateful that she is fortunate to have the opportunity to get to do what it is she loves to do.
